Security Screening
Security at Gemstone International Airport means keeping travelers safe. We work together with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to provide the best air travel security possible. The TSA is responsible for screening every passenger who flies and every bag that is loaded onto an airplane. Gemstone International Airport has three passenger screening checkpoints – two in the Central Concourse and one in the International Hall. All checkpoints are open 24 hours/day.
Security Reminders:

Passengers can not return to unsecure areas once passing through security.

All baggage, vehicles, and persons on airport property are subject to search at any time.

Never leave baggage unattended- the will be confiscated and possibly destroyed.

If you see suspicious behavior or unattended luggage, report it to airport security personell immediatly.
Basic Security Regulations

Liquids and gels must be in containers of three ounces or less
-
Put the containers in one zip-top plastic bag that is one-quart in size
-
Remove the plastic bag from your carry-on bag and put it in a screening bin

Place metal objects, such as coins and keys, in your carry-on bag

Put laptop computers and other electronic devices in a screening bin

Remove shoes, jackets and belts and put them in screening bins

Pre-Screening Programs
TSA Pre✓™
TSA Pre✓™ is designed to enhance and expedite security by placing more focus on pre-screening individuals who volunteer information about themselves prior to flying. Eligible participants include certain frequent flyers invited from participating airlines (Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines and US Airways) as well as members of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s (CBP) Trusted Traveler programs (Global Entry, SENTRI and NEXUS) who are U.S. citizens and fly on a participating airline.
TSA Pre✓™ lanes are provided at both security checkpoints in the Central Concourse. Check your elegiblity at the kiosks near the checkpoints.

CLEAR
CLEAR offers members speed and predictability through their own premium lanes and travel document verification kiosks at all three checkpoints. CLEARlanes are easily identified with a large blue CLEARcube. Members present their CLEARcard to a uniformed CLEAR attendant, verify their identity with their fingerprints or iris image, and then head through to security screening.

Global Entry
Global Entry is a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. Global entry members are processed by biometric identification in less than five minutes at kiosks. Though intended for frequent international travelers, there is no minimum number of trips necessary to qualify for the program. Participants may enter the United States by using automated kiosks located at select airports, including Gemstone International Airport.
